Why I don’t jog outside

Posted in Crime tagged , , , at 10:27 pm by Katharine Lackey

How many times have we heard this story: relatively young woman goes for a jog and doesn’t return. A few days, or weeks, later, her body is found.

The body of a woman was found in North Carolina today, after she never returned from her Saturday morning jog, ABC News reports.

The police have ruled Nancy Cooper’s death a homicide and are currently investigating the killing.

In June, a 26 year old grad student was found dead in Orlando after she went jogging, ABC News also reports.

And who can forget the infamous Chandra Levy case, which The Washington Post is currently chronically in a 12-part series.

The other reason I don’t jog outside, besides not wanting to get killed, is because joggers always seem to find bodies (or dead rats), according to here, here, and here.
